Sony Venice 2 Sensor
8K Sony Venice 2’s sensor has 8640×5760 px resolution.
This 36×24mm full-frame sensor offers exceptional image quality and a dynamic range of 16 stops.
Additionally, the 8K sensor of the Sony Venice 2 is capable of capturing a wider color gamut than the DCI-P3 color space and exceeding the BT.2020 standard, ensuring precise and vibrant color reproduction.
With dual ISO of 800/3200, the sensor provides flexibility in various lighting conditions.

With a more compact and lighter design than its predecessor, the original Sony Venice, the Venice 2 is approximately 10% lighter.
Additionally, the camera features a simple and intuitive navigation menu and strategically placed connectors to facilitate recording.
The Venice 2 also includes E and PL lens mounts to work with a wide range of Full Frame, Super35, spherical, anamorphic lenses, etc. It is also compatible with Cooke/i and ZEISS eXtended Data technology.

The Rialto extension system for the Sony Venice 2 is a tool that allows the image sensor block to be separated from the camera body, providing great flexibility during shooting.
With 3-meter and 12-meter extension cables, the Rialto 2 system allows full-frame image quality to be maintained without compromise, even in tight spaces or complex filming situations.
Ideal for use with gimbals, cranes, and rigs, the Rialto 2 system also includes a gyroscopic sensor that captures tilt and rotation data as metadata, facilitating FX work.
8-step Mechanical ND Filters
The Sony Venice 2 is equipped with an advanced 8-step mechanical ND filter system, controlled by servomechanisms, integrated directly into the camera chassis.
This system allows a neutral density range from ND 0.3 (1/2 = 1 stop) to ND 2.4 (1/256 = 8 stops), providing exceptional flexibility to control exposure in various lighting conditions.
The possibility of quickly change the internal ND filters not only saves time during production but also maintains consistency in depth of field and allows for quick adaptation to changing light conditions.
