Nipros Orion is a universal camera-to-fiber optic adapter. It easily connects the camera to a base station, adding the video transmission, return feeds, communication, and control capabilities required for live multicamera productions.
It enables cinema cameras to be integrated into a broadcast environment, allowing you to harness the “cinema look” of the camera and lenses within an infrastructure designed specifically for live operation.

4K fibre transmission with 12G-SDI connectivity
Orion supports SDI signals up to 12G on its video paths.
It can simultaneously transport signals with different resolutions and frame rates while preserving the embedded audio and metadata present in the source signal.
The transmission does not compress or process the image.
Camera and lens control via native connectors
The system features control connections including an 8-pin Sony RCP port, a 12-pin serial port, LANC, and 1 GbE Ethernet, allowing the camera to be controlled directly from the base station.
It also includes a 12-pin LENS port to connect Canon and Fujinon servo lenses.
Video signal returns and operator monitoring
Nipros Orion can send up to two 12G-SDI video return signals from the production control room to the camera.
It also features a 20-pin port that supplies power, video, tally, and return switching to compatible monitors and electronic viewfinders.
