High-Speed sensor
The Freefly Ember S5K features a Global Shutter S35 sensor measuring 23×18mm.
It is capable of capturing high-speed videos: 600fps in 5K or 800fps in 4K, for example.
It has an ISO sensitivity of 100 to 400, suitable for most high-speed captures where lighting is usually controlled. Additionally, it has a dynamic range of 11 stops, allowing it to capture a wide range of tones with good quality and detail in both the brightest and darkest areas.
Lenses for the Freefly Ember S5K
The native mount of the Freefly Ember S5K is an active EF type, but it also allows for a PL mount.
It is a small camera equipped with a Super 35mm sensor, making it suitable for use with lenses such as the Cooke SP3, which, although Full Frame, are very small and provide a vintage look; or the Canon CN-E lenses range.
A 10cm cube
The Freefly Ember S5K stands out for its compact, lightweight, and versatile design, making it ideal for film shoots and TV productions.
It has the shape of a cube with 10cm sides and weighs only 800 grams.
This design makes it extremely portable and easy to mount on a variety of accessories, such as DJI Ronin S, DJI Ronin RS3, DJI Ronin RS4 Pro stabilizers, drones, or for use in confined spaces.
Fast & Easy recording
The Ember S5K is very easy to use: you simply press the record button and send the video (in Apple ProRes 422 LT format) directly from the Freefly Ember App.
The Freefly Ember App is compatible with iPhone and iPadOS, and has a more comprehensive version for macOS, which allows for a fast and dynamic workflow. This App allows you to stabilize shots and use the ‘Amplify’ technique, which enhances small movements in videos, making them easier to watch.
