La Habana will be overrun by zombies in this film, co-produced by La Zanfoña Producciones.

At the end of the year the film 'John of the Dead', written and directed by the Cuban Alejandro Brugués, will be openend. After eight weeks filming with two optical RED Mysterium X Ultraprime provided by OVIDE, the film is now in post-production area.

The film is an horror comedy where a legion of zombies overun La Habana. This is a co-production between Spanish producer, La Zanfoña Produciones, and the Cuban 5th Avenue Productions. The story shows how panic takes hold of the people due to the arrival of zombies to the city and talks about John, who eliminates the infected family members taking money for it. The cast of actors includes Alexis Díaz de Villegas, playing Juan, the hero, and Andrea Duro Perugorría Andros, among others. 

Carles Gusi is the photography director ('Take My Eyes' or 'Cell 211') and Derubín Jácome is in charge of art direction.
